Landfill Well Gas Analysis well sites monitoring oxygen temperature and pressure

Landfill Gas Monitoring is a technique that involves using a portable methane meter near the landfill’s surface to measure concentrations while traversing the site.
the IWS Methane and Oxygen Gas Analysis System (GAS) can be easily installed at a flare or well site using the 2” gas pod either mounted in the vertical riser or horizontal position. The IWS-R-2PT takes a reading 24 times a day (programmable). Oxygen content (% volume), system static pressure and gas temperature is taken and reported via MODBUS TCP or Plexus database portal at the gateway. The system gateway provides functionality including alarm email/sms notification and GUI map display via a webpage. The gateway system stores all readings with date/time stamp. All data may be downloaded a regular basis (programmable) or continuously monitored in real time over a WAN connection such as a cell modem.

Plexus Smart Portable Level Reader

The Plexus Controls Precision Level Reader System (PLR) permits field staff to use the portable system to take water depth measurements from sites with depth measurement tubes already installed, avoiding well cap removal and exposure to potentially harmful gasses.
Using an internal air pump, the PLR pressurizes a hose that is installed permanently inside the well and calculates the water depth from the pressure (or differential pressure) value.
The system offers a host of user features to speed up the read and data logging process such as local save and recall of well site information (casing height ASL, tube depth), and provides a water level calculation of height above sea level.

In addition the systems optional GPS interface provides an automated site location feature.
The data log will save well name, location and time and date
to a csv file for downloading . Alarm features such as hose connection integrity and blocked hose helps to identify any fault condition with the measurement. The PLR uses the Trimble TDS Nomad © hardware platform any Windows Mobile 5 or 6 hardware with Bluetooth installed.

UAV Radio Frequency Scanner System

Plexus Controls deployed and operated the Facebook Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) Radio Frequency Scanner System (URFSS). The system was designed to assist with the positioning of radio communication towers in Non-Line of Sight (NLoS) links. In addition, the system is providing measured data to assist with the quality and accuracy of path loss software tools.

The system consists of 2 major components:
Transmitter System
UAV Receiver System

The transmitter system is designed as a temporary battery powered self contained unit to provide a radio frequency carrier wave signal. The carrier wave is acting as a known reference for the link analysis.
The transmitter system location and the proposed tower location site at the receiver side is identified in the project document provided by the customer.

The receiver site location and the proposed tower location site at the receiver site is identified in the project information sheet provided by the customer.
The UAV takeoff location should is planned as close to the centre of the scanning area as possible. The location is:
At least 30m clearance from any buildings, trees and foliage.
Line of sight view to the UAV throughout the scanning area
Level and clear of loose soil, dust and debris
UAV flights must be flown when there is no precipitation and when the wind velocity is less than 15km/hr. Wind gusts and operation around trees and hills can cause turbulence and instability during the flight. In addition, the UAV should be flown when the ambient temperature is between 5C and 30C.
